So it's time for th annual fundraiser exhibition at Diagonale!!!  This year the theme is JAUNE.  Congrats to the fibres undergrads
who are showing in it.  I've highighted the names I know.  Sorry if I missed yours.

Pour une septième année consécutive, DIAGONALE organise son exposition bénéfice de fin d’année. Plus de cent artistes ont généreusement répondu à l’appel du JAUNE, afin de soutenir le Centre et de faire rayonner la fibre en art actuel. Leurs œuvres originales sont vendues par encan silencieux. La moitié du prix de vente ira à l’artiste et l’autre moitié ira à DIAGONALE sous forme de don. Collectionneurs, amateurs et curieux, venez voir ce que la fibre vous réserve!

En plus de soutenir des artistes passionnés, cette opération de collecte de fonds est vitale pour assurer la pérennité financière
du Centre et tout particulièrement cette année. En effet, grâce au programme Placement Culture du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, les dons qui résulteront de la vente seront triplés par le gouvernement.  Un bon moyen de se faire plaisir et
d’encourager l’art actuel!

For the seventh consecutive year, DIAGONALE is holding its annual year end fundraiser-exhibition. Over one hundred artists have responded generously to the call for JAUNE, to support the center and to promote contemporary fiber arts. The original works of these artists will be up for silent auction. Half of the proceeds will go directly to the artists and the other half will go to the center as donations. Collectors, art lovers, and anyone  curious to see these works are invited to come see what fibers has to offer!

Beyond supporting the work of quality artists, your generosity will insure the financial security of the center and this year more than ever. Thanks to the Placement Culture program of the Conseil des arts et des letters du Québec, the donations from this sale will matched threefold by the government. A wonderful way to have fun and to support Contemporary art!
