100 merino wool, aran weight yarn hand-dyed by the FSA with acid dyes.
This lovely mohair wool blend is naturally hand-dyed with Cutch.
One of our last semester's yarn subscribers shared their KA-POW!!! (october's yarn) project with us.  Aren't these mittens great!?

Yarn Club!

Above is the December shipment of yarn.  It's a super soft merino/alpaca mix dyed naturally with cochineal.

Below is a better picture of the November shipment.

We have decided to open up the next two days for last minute subscriptions.  So sign up for the Yarn Club before Thursday at 12pm for the January - March batches.  January's batch gets mailed out on Monday!

Oops.  We said we'd tone it down a bit since last time we punched you in the face with colour, but we've done it again!  We hope you Yarn Club subscribers love it.  We promise next month will be tame ;)
Below is the yarn info and a link to a pattern which we think would be fun for this month's yarn.

Remember last year when each time we revealed our monthly Yarn Club batch, you were sad that you hadn't signed up for it?  Well we're back, so you have another chance to get some gorgeous yarn in your mailbox each month.  This year there are only two opportunities for you to support the Fibres Student Association in this way.  So sign up for a three-month subscription before September 26th to receive yarn in your mailbox in October, November and December, or between September 27th and December 23rd to receive yarn in your mailbox in January, February and March.  Remember this isn't just any yarn; it's luscious hand-painted-by-us yarn.  It doesn't get better than that!

Above is the Yarn Club's March 2011 batch which was a 100% merino wool, lace weight yarn naturally dyed with indigo

Fundraising initiatives by the FSA help us to fund visiting artists, student exhibitions and educational trips :)
