Dear Concordia teachers, fellow students and friends,On behalf of exhibiting artist Maria Ezcurra, I am writing to ask for your collaboration in a project that Maria is doing in the Ste. Catherine Street Vitrines of the Fofa Gallery from January 3rd to Feb. 3rd: http://fofagallery.concordia.ca/ehtml/MariaEzcurra.htm

Maria will be making a series of actions for creating a textile installation in the window. For this, she will need some collaborators from Concordia University, with whom she will be meeting in the vitrines (individually or in groups), where she will be cutting and extending one of their garments on the wall. This will be happening every Wednesday and Thursday at 5:30 pm, and the garments will be adding for creating a collective composition made of each of our individualities. Maria Ezcurra says, "You need to choose a piece of clothing that somehow relates to your experience at Concordia, and that are willing to convert on part of the installation (a sweater, a scarf, a shirt…). You can get it back when the show is over (cut though…), and include this experience on your CV. I hope I can get the whole process documented, so you can also get nice images. The project description is included below, in case you want to read it."

If you want to participate, please email the FOFA Gallery ([email protected]) and let us know which day work better for you. Also, if you know people from other areas of Concordia University interested in taking part of this, please let me know as well.

If you would like to see the first action in person, Maria will be performing in the Ste-Catherine Street Vitrine, Thursday January 5th at 5:30pm. Thank you, Galerie FOFA GalleryFaculty of Fine Arts, Concordia UniversityBy Foot:1515 Ste.
